What’s Included with the Ford Power Promise?

Eligible Vehicles:

Program Details:

  • Offer Period: February 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025.
  • Delivery Deadline: You must take delivery of your vehicle by June 30, 2025.
  • Eligibility: Retail customers only. Fleet and commercial purchases are not eligible.
  • Installation: Provided by RocketEV, Ford of Canada’s installation partner.

Standard Installation Guidelines:

  • Installation must be completed by a RocketEV-certified installer and arranged through RocketEV.
  • Applicable to residential properties with a dedicated electrical meter (single-family home, duplex, condo, or townhouse). Commercial properties are not eligible.
  • The Charge Station Pro must be attached to the same structure as the main electrical panel.
  • Includes up to 80 feet of externally-mounted and visible wiring. Additional wiring or specialized installation (e.g., inside drywall, underground) may be available at an additional cost to the customer.
  • Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary approvals from homeowner’s associations, condo boards, or other third parties.
  • Ford Charge Station Pro will be installed with up to a 48A connection to your electrical panel, provided your panel has room.

Home Charging Assessment:

RocketEV will conduct a digital home charging assessment to determine if your property qualifies for a standard installation under the Ford Power Promise program.

What if my installation requires more than 80 feet of wiring?

While the standard installation covers up to 80 feet of external wiring, additional wiring or specialized installation may be possible at an additional cost to the customer. RocketEV will assess your needs during the home charging assessment.

Can I use my own electrician for the installation?

No, the installation must be completed by a RocketEV-certified installer to qualify for the Ford Power Promise.

What happens if my home doesn’t qualify for a standard installation?

RocketEV will discuss any necessary modifications or additional costs with you during the home charging assessment.

I live in a condo / townhouse / multi-family residential building.  Can I still take advantage of the Ford Power Promise? Will you help me talk to my strata?

YES!  RocketEV has extensive experience helping EV buyers overcome strata council fear, uncertainty, and doubt about electric vehicle charging at home.  Installing your own personal EV charger for your own personal use in your own personal parking stall is possible for most multi-family buildings without any impact on the overall building’s electrical systems.

I want to have charging set up from day one.   Can I get the installation completed before I take delivery of my new Ford?

Absolutely yes!

Can I charge other brands of EVs besides Fords?

Yes!  The Charge Station Pro uses an industry-standard J1772 / CCS connector.  You can charge any brand of EV (except Tesla – requires adapter).

How much does it cost to charge at home? (Based on HydroOne rates)

Important Notes:

  • The efficiency of the charger and the vehicle’s onboard charging system can also impact the overall cost. Some energy is always lost in the charging process.
  • This is just the cost of the electricity itself. It does not include any potential installation fees for your home charging setup. By taking advantage of off-peak charging hours, you can minimize your electricity costs and enjoy the benefits of driving electric for less.
